You should not install OSC on a Windows box. The store works best on a Linux/Unix server - my experiences of installing OSC on Windows boxes have always been bad ones - I remember email being a particular headache. ozcsys Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Thanks a lot Jason. Someone have others comments for my dout? Thanks all. I agree with Jason, stay away from windows servers as there are no advantages and many problems. This is also not just a windows vs linux issue either as some linux servers are not very osC friendly. Best bet is to sign up for a months of hosting and see how easy osC is to install. If you have any problems or it takes you more then 30 minutes then move on as there is no reason at all to fight with server issues just to get your store up and running like you want. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
