zalik22 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Hi, I have not installed any PayPal contribution. I am using what originally comes with OSCommerce. If the customers checks out and pays through his/her paypal account, the customer is redirected after payment. If the customer clicks "I do not have an account" and proceeds to enter shipping, billing, credit card info, after the payment is processed, the user HAS to click on the "back to merchant" button for the order to show up in admin and for me to receive an order email. Is there a way to fix this. I haven't read about people having this problem when the customer only clicks on "I have no PayPal account." Thanks for your help! Quote

You need the folowing for the client to de redirected. 1)Autoreturn to be on 2)Return URL to be an existing page and follows there guide lines. Satish Mantri Hi, My autoreturn is on and it does return the customer to the site (so the return URL is valid) if they have a paypal account. However, if they claim they don't have an account, they can still pay but once they finish, it does not redirect them back. Do you have to set this option somewhere else? I figured it would be the same. Thanks! Quote
Caterpillar Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Zahed, I have the same problem so if anyone can help that would be great. Just a reminder the autoreturn and therefore the order details work if the customer has a paypal account. But if they use paypal and pay via credit card, not through their paypal account, and do not select return to Merchant (which occurs on 30% of my orders) then you get the payment but no order details. Any advice would be appreciated. Regards Neil Quote
Caterpillar Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 I think you might need the paypal IPN module. Andy, I think you might me right but this thread worries me http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=206076 Quote
andytc Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 I wouldn't worry about it too much , there are so many variables to consider when problems occur with an OSc Mod. I still use paypal IPN on my site and it has been working fine , the problem i have is just the address not showing in the confirm e-mail. First off , paypal say that it doesn't show anymore in e-mails for security reasons , but they haven't yet explained why it doesn't show in the History tab in my paypal account.......typical , but no real problem for now. I would go ahead and install the latest IPN Module, if it doesn't work for you , you can just disable it . The original Paypal module remains in place in admin so you can just switch back. :) Quote
