I'll try and keep this as simple as poss! My store isn't available yet but my domain name is - www.dscurtainha.com which was obtained by www.enom.com. Anyway, the store is nearly finished and i want to change my domain name before i go live and have signed up with a new domain name provider and they need my primary DNS and secondary DNS! How do i know which of these are the ones i need and where do i find out what they are? The new privider is at http://www.ukreg.com and they ask this -

This domain will be hosted by another ISP using the DNS servers given. (Specify the host name of each DNS server, not the IP address. eg: ns1.dnsserver.co.uk)

Primary DNS:

Secondary DNS:

Does any know where i find this info out?

Also, am i going in the right direction of getting a new domain name? Is there something i'm not doing right?

Cheers

in order for a domain name to work with any hosting account, the domain name's DNS (Domain Name Servers) must be pointed to the hosting account's name servers. Your hosting company will provide the correct DNS addresses. Thus you need to contact the company that is currently hosting you domain (www.enom.com) and get it from them. As far as changing your domain name, you actually have to purchase a new domain name since once you register a domain name, they cannot be changed. My suggestion, since you want a different name anyway, is to register a NEW domain name with whoever you want to host your domain (i.e. www.ukreg.com) this way you won't have to worry about DNS info at all. I hope this helps.

Good luck.
