AWLHobbies Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 The title says it all. I think I am ready to go live with my new site. Please take a look at it and let me know what you think. I am complete noob to osCommerce, so I used a template, and tried my best. I think it turned out pretty good. Compare it to the old existing web page as well. AWLHobbies

rommany Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Hi Very basic set up, a few broken images, i don't like the colours ( just not my taste ) and it loads slow. So a little work needed. Regards
Andrew Yuen Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I would fix the broken images, you header needs some work. I would try to make the transition between the red airplane and the rest of your header more subtle. Andrew Yuen osCommerce, Community Team

A site now a days is as good as a shop so I suggest the following 1)Show all different payment methos that you accept. 2)Hava contact us link on home page. 3)Apply some Search engine optimization cintributions so as to generate more traffic. 4)Show all security certificates if you do have.Get some if you are not having. 5)Get SSL of a branded provider. 6)Have some banners. 7)Increase table width. 8)See to it that the site is downloaded faster. Your design looks pretty good. Satish Mantri Ask/Skype for Free osCommerce value addon/SEO suggestion tips for your site. Check My About US For who am I and what My company does.
AWLHobbies Posted March 11, 2006 Author Posted March 11, 2006 Thanks for all the tips guys. I think I need to reduce the size of my images so they load faster, and I will fix the broken links. I also have som plans for a few banners, I will get on this and fix them over the next couple of days.
