The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set.

The installation went smooth until the very end. I have created the backup directory, and done the CHMOD as per the instruction guide. (I am installing to the root of a domain).

 

Here's my error message:

 

The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set.

Please perform the following actions:

 

* cd /home/vc-ftp/public_html/includes/

* touch configure.php

* chmod 706 configure.php

 

* cd /home/vc-ftp/public_html/admin/includes/

* touch configure.php

* chmod 706 configure.php

 

 

I have CHMOD on both othese files several times - every configuration I can think of, and it still won't go away.

 

Any thoughts? You help is greatly appreciated.
