shoshoni Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Hi All, My shipping module in some cases is charging twice or three time than what the actual shipping should be. One customer gets charge eight times. I have gone through check out many time but cannot replicate the error. Does any one have any idea? Here is an example from an invoice: Zone Domestic/International (Shipping to Australia (by price) : 2 x 35.5): $10.00 Here this customer has been charged twice as indicated by '2'. The postage should be $5 as per the postage table. Any help .....

wheeloftime Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Anyone? Please help as my shipping module is not working correctly. Thanks It sounds as somehow you have no fit the product weight with your zone's shipping table and also your settings with admin->configuration->shipping/packaging are not correct. With the first I mean that if you define your product weight like 100, 500, 1000 etc meaning 100 gram, 500 gram, 1 kg. etc. your shipping table should say 100:5,500:10,1000:15. So upto 100 grams is $5, from 100 grams to 500 grams is $10 and from 500 grams to 1 kilogram is $15. Next to that you have to use the same weight scheme with your admin settings, especially your max. package weight setting might cause packages to get divided over much more as needed (if your max. package weight is set to 100 and your package weight becomes 200 you will get 2 packages of 100 gram costing 2x $5). HTH

HTH Thanks Howard for your suggestion. I had checked my table and I this is what I have 15:3.00,50:5.00,65:6.00,80:8.00,100:10.00,800:12.00 If I put the same amount as my customer, I get charged correctly and most of my customers also get charged correctly. It is very rare when this happens but always happens with just one customer. I even login as this customer and put items in my cart and then do a check out and postage is calculated correctly. Is it something which is random? Thanks....

This makes me curious on what kind of OS that customer is running and which browser he/she uses. It must be something local otherwise you would have problems with more customers.
