techsupportrich Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I'm trying to use the store to sell video downloads. I'm also using PayPal as the only payment option. Payment is going through fine, its the download links in the account page that dont work. When you click on them, I'm just getting this... "Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, cfWEBADMIN and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log." Is it something to do with the way I've typed in the filename in the product atributes...just putting in the file name instead of a web address? The file is uploaded to the download folder on the server, and I've set all the right CHMOD permissios., it's just I get that error quoted above when I click the link to download the file. The money transfers and it records the sale, I just can't download anything. Also, is it true that OSCommerce can't handle large file downloads? Thanks for any help.
SuperSewist Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Did you set up your download in the 'products attributes' section of your catalog entry through admin? The rules are in the osC documentation and several threads here you can search for - it's fairly common to miss one part of getting downloads set up. If you're not sure about the file size for your server, start with a small pdf or something for your download for testing purposes. There's a huge thread here somewhere on larger files you can search for that too. techsupportrich Posted March 6, 2006 Author Posted March 6, 2006 Yeah, I did everything in admin. I haven't got the know how to do it any other way. Completely stumpped with this one. I'm going to try a fresh install. I know there shouldn't be any problems with my server as oscommerce is an option provided by the host. Yet without these download links working its usless. what should I be typing in for the file name of my digital downloads?
