spax
It means once you have your OSC site uploaded to your server. On your server, you will have your own admin screen/panel, one such is cpanel. From cpanel or your equivalent, you should be able to password protect your catalog/admin directory. If you don't have that option with your host admin area, just ask your host to do it for you. Also, once you have uploaded your site, you will be able to change file permissions via ftp. If you haven't yet picked a host, make sure when you are looking for one, you establish they have all or most of the options that will make your life easier. For instance, make sure the host you choose has: Linux OS, Apache servers, PHP, MySql, phpMyAdmin and if possible, supports osCommerce.
