image disapper when I just update the title

Every time, when I update the the product title or anything else, I have to reupload the image. Otherwise it disapper. it this the way it suppose to work? Or I configure wrong. Thanks a for your help

the image file shouldn't disappear. Check your catalog\admin\categories for modifications. There is a section that controls the image uploads. Have you made changes to that?

No I get the same problem. The images are actually being deleated from the server in my case and i'm quite sure this has been the case from the get-go.

 

Further testing the problem, I have just discovered that if you re-insert the image name into the details this happens. If you update the pro. details and not reinsert the image name into the field everything is fine.
