tahirbashir80 Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Hi there, I am new to osCommerce and also in this forum. I want to know that is it possible to install osCommerce on a local machine and make it work on XAMPP? Lokking for replies. Tahir
kgt Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Yes. XAMPP does nothing more than turn your computer into a web server. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=xampp...G=Google+Search Contributions Discount Coupon Codes Donations
JazzMan_Jay Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Hi Tahir, that is possible that's how I am developing, but consider that actual XAMPP versions are using MYSQL 5 and in some querries OSC is not MYSQL 5 compliant and that your provider will probably work with MYSQL 3.23 or MYSQL 4.X. If you need the right querries post your request here.... i also remember having found a doc here also. Ciao. Ciao
JazzMan_Jay Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Hi Tahir, so I found the MYSQL5 Fixes again, and some other bugs that you should fix depend on the version of OSC you use. http://www.oscommerce.com/ext/update-20051...l#_Toc119693706 Ciao and enjoy XAMPP
kgt Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 actual XAMPP versions are using MYSQL 5 XAMPP Lite is MySQL 4.1. You can just download and install that. Contributions Discount Coupon Codes Donations
