osCommerce Integration with FUDForum

Hello Guys,

 

Has anyone looked into integrating this forum with OsCommerce?

 

I've been looking at it all day today and it seems plausible.

FUDForum has a pretty neat API that allows you to run functions that triggers user log-ins, creating-users and signing off users.

 

If you embed this in the same areas where OsCommerce signs users in, mainly account.php, and when they sign in, create a user in FUDForum if there isn't already one, as well as when they create an account they also create one in FUDForum, we could have ourselves a pretty nifty forum plug in. I'd definately like to see what you guys think about this because I know most of us have been looking for a solid plug in into our osCommerce template that allows single user log ins.

 

The only trouble I see is the reverse, when users log into FUDForum, and then try to order something, but I figured this can be solved by just switching out the account page links in FUDForum to point to the oscommerce log in page.

 

Any ideas?
