craigan Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Hello all, My site it up and has been spidered by Google and the rest. Here it is: Telephone Call Recorder At this point I know I have many asthetic and technical improvements that can and need to be made. I'm ready to take all feedback on the site very seriously. I intend to use what I hear from everyone to make improvements to the site. Your suggestions and resources are very much appreciated. Best Regards, Craig
Guest Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Your legal pages are a little light. There are many topics you need to consuder adding into them. Remove the google ads on the bottom. You have ssl, good. You have no business address or contact telephone numbers.
♥MYC267 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I agree the Google ads are not essential as they are not the primary revenue stream for your site. They just clutter up the page and provide users exit points. Dan

Guest Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 for my opinion the header picture is far too high, it takes too much place on your side. i think you should consider some design changes. i like first page, but when click on the product the layout completely changes so i have feeling that i have been redirected to other site. - i would suggest you simply change the color of infobox headers to the same purple as on first page. maybe it will do the desired change. maybe it would be good to remove number of products for each category - it looks (dont be mad at me) kind of silly to have 2 products in each category - it will look more proffesional - and i think that you want to look proffesional because you are selling pretty serious products. keep up the good work.
craigan Posted March 3, 2006 Author Posted March 3, 2006 Hello All, Thank you for all the great feedback so far. Keep it coming! Keep it coming! This is good stuff to hear! Best Regards, Craig P.S. I figured I'd get more than one person for sure that suggests to remove the Adwords. Let me just say that my intent for those is only here in the beginning to try to get my page ranking up. Once I'm well established, they will go for sure!
craigan Posted March 3, 2006 Author Posted March 3, 2006 Oh one more thing... I've noticed that the way this was designed doesn't show my categories on the home page. There it only displays the products I enter into the Featured Products section. The categories are only displayed if you're on an individual product page. What would be your suggestion for incorporating the categories box into the home page?

What would be your suggestion for incorporating the categories box into the home page? Hi, If you have all the categories you are going to use, I would simply hard code a horizontal menu in standard HTML under your header - pick up your links from the categories box - then deactivate the categories box. 2 categories don't need to take up a full column. Hope This Helps. BrianD
craigan Posted March 8, 2006 Author Posted March 8, 2006 I am working on many of the changes everyone has suggested. I just finished removing the cartoon images in the site. Thanks again for the feedback. Keep it coming!
