simcards
Hi There, Please help me. I have been searching this forum but with no joy. I set up my installation according to the pdf and everything works well. I then tried to remove some of the sample data that is supplied in the database tables ie products or categories, and i get the error message: 1142 - DELETE command denied to user "..." for table "...." Now when I did the installation, the database connection test was successful. I have also checked the configuration files and the database username and password are correct. I have full access to the database with that username. What can I do? I cam not able to delete anything! I even added a new category to test , but am not able to delete it either. Any help will be greatly appareciated. I am getting so frustrated! Thanks Rocky

spax
On the phpMyAdmin landing page, you have a list of options. One of those is privileges, click that and then you will see a list of users. To the right of the users you will see an icon, hover over it and it will say Edit Privileges. Click on the icon for the user name you want to edit and you will get a load of different checkbox options. Being as it is your root user or top level admin, check every box, hit Go and all is good.
