dalewest Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Have successfully installed osC on a W2K server. Installation and configuration seemed to run fine. But now when I go to add products none of the product images will upload. I get "Error: Destination does not exist. Error: Catalog images directory does not exist" Everything is setup to the default osC setup. The directory in question does exist. All the sample products showed up, no problem. The only issue is with new products I'm trying to upload. Have checked my config files and can not find a problem. If it were a directory permissions problem I would expect a different error (i.e. not writeable) but that's not the case. I FTP'd the images to the directory and they still don't show up so I guess the location is not uploading into the database when I add a product. Suggestions as to where the problem lies are most welcome.
♥Vger Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 It is a permissions problem - that's exactly the error you get when the images folder can't be accessed by the file upload procedure. Try permissions of 755, and only if that doesn't work should you use 777 - but be aware that 777 is 'full permissions' and not recommended. It's just that with some hosting setups you need to use 777. Vger

Fizzah Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Sorry to bump up an old topic but Im having the same problem. I previously uploaded some pictures but I moved the admin panel to ssl then realised that you didn't have to so I moved it back and now its saying " Error: Catalog images directory does not exist: /catalog/images/"
