Hi folks,

I want to add a text field to every product page, or at least have that option.

See the attached image:

There is a contribution that allows you to add text fields to your options/attributes and you could possibly do it that way but not sure if it would be 100% what you are looking for.

Read about it here...

Or maybe this?

The contribution area is great : )

I did install the contributioncalled Product Attributes - Option Type Feature which can be found at http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,160

I have it up and working at http://portcityportlandmaine.com/osc2

But I have a minor problem and I do not fully understand the readme file that comes with this mod nor am I a database master.

If you go to my shop, log-in and buy the one item that is listed and if you choose a color and a size and enter data in the text field called personalization2, and then click the add to cart button you will see something like the following:

- Color red

- testing personalization

- Size large

Notice the option name is not showing in the second line. The second line should read: personalization2 testing personalization

The readme for this mod has an area for questions and answers. Here is one of the questions:

Q. The Option name isn't being displayed in the shopping cart, order confirmation, or confirmation email?

A. This almost always indicates a problem with your data. Make sure that define('PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUE_TEXT_ID', 0); is set correctly in your configure.php. Also make sure that your product attribute is associated with the correct Option and Option Value. A common mistake is to associate a text Option with an Option Value other than TEXT.

I guess I don't understand the answer. If anyone has the knowledge would he or she run me through this in a mechanical manner? It would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, Idiot here....

I have also installed the Product Attributes - Option Type Feature. I am getting an error everytime I try to access the admin side.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_get_languages() in /home/admin/public_html/admin/index.php on line 58

I even used Winmerge to merge the files. What went wrong?
