stevesko Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Hi, This is my first osc store and I dont know if I did something wrong in the install. The store has all the links directing at http://store.com rather than http://www.store.com. First, how do I get it to www.store.com and second what should I have done different. Pls help... Thanks, Steve
jasonabc Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 this shouldn't really matter as a URL with a 'www.' works equally and just as well as one without it. The exception to this is when/if you purchase your own SSL/security certificate - then it *does* matter as it has to be installed on one and will only verify if you attempt to access it via the correct URL (https://mysite.com instead of https:///www.mysite.com) Still - if you want to change it - go into the OSC config files (catolog > includes > configure.php) and insert your 'www's' in the URL paths there. cheers Jason Jason My Contributions: Paypal Payflow PRO | Rollover Category Images | Authorize.net Invoice Number Fix

Thanks, Steve It makes a difference to the search engines as to which you use. You should alsways pick one, setup your configure files that way and only give out that link when exchanging links. In other words, if you want to use www, always use it - don't have links to your site without it.
