hi

i started receving the following message when i tried to access my site

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory

after insalling the register_globals patch (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2957/category,all/search,register_globals) it now works

ive read this is a bad thing having the globals turned on so how do i turn them off again so the site works? or do i have to? lol

Just a suggestion. When posting describe your problem in the heading. That way you can attract more expert help than this.

Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!!

You did do a backup? eh?

even for experts this is tricky, it was off then on, then it works, then it does not, off on?

you got an error saying they were off.

so if you did not turn them on, they are still off.
