Instalation of mysql on OSX

Hi

 

I installed, mysql .. 5.0 on my osx tiger and i want to use it with entropy and osCommerce.

Mysql is not running even though Mysql console is showing that it is running,

also i don't have mysql account... set up why?

When i try to execute test mysql-test-run file i am not getting right data but code is appearing in my screen.

Can anybody give direction ... i tried dev.mysql.com, and www.entropy.ch/software/MacOSx/mysql/

but no luck.
