Hello

I edited catagories.php to get an extra feature. it diddnt work. Now i have an error check my website

www.gadget-crazy.co.uk look at the error and please tell me if you know what i have to and if you can help

also i havnt backed up that catagories.php but i have backed up the database i tried reinstalled the databse but diddnt help

It appears you have added featured product contribution.This contribution needs ana dditional field in the data base which is used by the contrib.

When you did restore the data base or during some other work the additional field from your table was lost.

What you need to do is look at the featured products contribution and then add the table back into the dbase using phpmyadmin or wotever you use.

do you have a copy of the featured products contribution, if not go to the contributions site and download it and then unzip it.

There should be a file with an extension of .sql

If not then open the install text file and look for where it says to add the featured products table to the database.

Do you use cpanel? If so go into your cpanel and then look for an icon entitled phpmyadmin and click it.

After phpmyadmin has opened (normally in a new window) you will need to select which database your store uses from the dropdown menu on the left. When all the tables have loaded in the main window in front of you you will need to look at at the top for a tab called SQL and then click it.

You should get a screen up with what looks like a text field now either cut and paste the sql into this field and click go or below that there is the option to browse your computer for the sql file and clicking go will insert the featured products sql.

Without doing it for you I can not explain it any easier.

go to the conmntrib and you will find something like alter table products add filed 'Featured_Product' now this field should be there in your table named product.Use PhpMyAdmin to access your data base and do it.Otr thru a Php Script fire an update query.

thats done but now when i try and edit the error is gone but the editing tools are not there

i cannot go to the pictures on the server i cant view in external browser the editing tools are not there font size etc...
