Need help moving data

Hey everyone,

 

I've created some new input fields on the product_info.php page for embroiders options. Normally I would use POST to move this data into some variables, but it's not working, the form on this page for the info uses POST, but the action reference is uses looks to be the same file it's in, which is product_info.php which I don't understand. All I'd like to do is take this new data and store it somewhere when a customer presses add to cart. This may be a weird way to do this, but it's all I know right now. If anyone can help me get this data into variables somewhere or how to move it so I can save it somewhere I'd really appreciate it.
