MAryann732 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I just recently opened my new store online and I need some feedback on what I can do better and how to fix the things that don't work. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Maryann Overmere Mystical Unicorn http://www.mysticalunicorn.net
Guest Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 hi, i like the colours you have chosen. it really seems mystical - i like the purple. but with black there are problems - you should do something with transparency of image. change the colour and design of buttons - the site could be more mystical if you do good work of it. too many categories - you should think about shrinking them depending on their relations. best regards, mike

You are the only one that replied to my post. I just wish some other people wrote a post regarding my site because I want to see what other people think. Thanks again. Maryann Overmere
thunar Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I hope you don't mind my asking, but did you find the customization of your store difficult? Do you have a developer that you worked with, or did you do it yourself? Did you use any tools in particular to do the customization? I ask because my company is looking into rolling this out for our commercial clients to use to set up the shopping sections of their websites, and I have been tasked with writing the FAQ and manual for using it, as well as developing support tools for our technicians to use to offer our clients support. Thanks, Maryann Overmere Mystical Unicorn http://www.mysticalunicorn.net Oh, and I forgot to say your site is very nice, the look suits the merchandise, and it's just lovely. (Wow, do I ever sound like a marketing weasel there rather than a technician who's moving into management.) Great job! :D

tastar Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 The white text on the black background is too tough to look at - way too much contrast. Add your address and phone number to the contact us page. Get rid of the categories that don't have any items. A bunch of your category images are distorted and it makes them look bad. And, your regular images are inconsistent - some are beautiful, while some are smaller than the thumbnail that appears on the product page (click to shrink). Maybe you should drop the forum link until you build traffic more traffic. No reviews and no forum comments make me feel like I'm in an empty restaurant. The link at in the footer (Pagan Shopping Online) goes to an empty page. You do have a nice site overall - the comments that I've made are meant to be helpful. Tony
♥toyicebear Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Nice color combination it suits your products.. B) But you should get rid of the default oscommerce icons in the boxes and you should change the buttons or alternatively just change the color of the buttons you already have to closer match your design tema.
