To increase the product name length you will need to access your database via phpmyadmin (found in your hosting control panel) and find the field and change the properties to a larger number There should not be any problems with the description being cut off, I have never ran into a wall on the product descriptions so I am not sure what the problem on that would be The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.
