Hello. I have recently set up an oscommerce store. I have added a few products into the catalog.

When people want to buy a certain product how do they pay by credit card?

I have installled the credit card option in the modules>payment and when customers want to buy products they click on credit card and type in their credit card number and stuff like that and once they have done that they click process and it says your money was sent or someting like that. Where does the money go once they have bought someting? Please reply A.S.A.P

Half the CC number should be emailed to you, the other half you have to retreive from osC. Then you put the number together and process it manually with that module. That module if for people who have their own terminal such as an already existing retail store.

 

No matter what you need to get a merchant account with the CC companies. There are hundreds to choose from (look in the contributions). Go to their web sites and find one you like and apply for a merchant account.

You need a terminal from the merchant company, one of those box things you see in stores. Then you enter the CC number you got from osC and hope it goes through. You also need a merchant account.

When you get your merchant account it is tied to a business bank account, the money will be deposited there, minus CC fees, merchant fees, reserve money, etc.

 

Where can i get a merchant account?

 

From any company that offers them, look in the contribution section. There are hundreds to choose from. You need to research them and find the one that best suits your needs and apply for a merchant account through their web site.

Hopefully you can help me out!

 

When going to process the card it always comes back as invalid card number. No matter what card is done. We have a machine setup at the office to process the payments. But we cant process the numbers obviously as they wont go through.

 

Can somebody provide me with a link to a cc_validation file so these cards can be processed. Please please please! I've done a search but I think im being stupid again.
