This CAT needs help with her tags ^--^

Hello to all and to all a warm purrr

 

I know this probably sounds silly or might even sound like a novice question, but i am more then sure there are extremely intelligent php programmers out there that know much more then I will ever know about programming. :rolleyes: Having said that, I have installed a bunch of modules for this website, but not sure how to configure the header tags for keywords and description. The site for some reason uses the same description and tags site wide. I would like to assign a unique key word and description for each category rather then what I have now, where it pulls the description from the category title, which is not that bad, but since the category title is short, so is the description tag, also for some reason the same line title line is repeated after the description which is unnecessary and I do not know how to clean all this mess up.

 

 

Again I have done the best i can to install the most up to date modules, but am stuck and do not know where or how i can go about installing the correct module that will not mess up the current site in any way.

 

any help or hints will be so so o so appreciated by this cat.

Once Header Tags is installed and fill tags is ran, you go into admin->catalog and edit the product to change your titles and meta tags for the categories/products or into admin->Header Tags->Text Control to change them for other pages. To prevent the default title from being aded, uncheck the HTTA box.

Thanks Jack for your help and post. But i still do not know what the header tags or fill tags is im suppose to install!! As i mentioned, i've installed so many modules, is there a way you can look at my code and see what i've installed, or what i need to install? Also where is the HTTA box?

 

Again I dont know to much php or any i should say, so if im asking for to much i apologize.

I assumed from your post that you had installed Header Tags since you said you has installed some modules and didn't know how to configure Header Tags. If you have Header Tags installed, then in your admins left column you will find a link for Header Tags. Is that there? If not, then you don't have it installed. At least, not a full, current version. So check and see if that is there. If it is, let me know and I will walk you through how to set it up.

well thats the thing, I believe i do have header tags installed, but not the latest version, i looked into it and it looks to be way to hard for me to get into and install.

 

Do you by chance know your php? If so how much do you charge to install such module as HeaderTags_V_2.5.6 ?
