Ian Lawther
I hve just started installation of osCommerce and haave got this error message in the initial stage "Host 'travelingpiper.com' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server". MY web host provides me with MySQL so I don't understand this. Is the MySQL server it is trying to connect to not my webhosts? Ian

Taru
try "localhost" for host address Hi! I have the same problem. I'm trying to install osCommerce, but I get these errors: "Access denied for user '***********'@'localhost' (using password: YES)" - used localhost to Database Server "Host '***********.com' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server" - used the mysql database server name my host gave "Host '112.118.137.108' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server" - used the ip belonging to the database server that I got from the host "Access denied for user '***********'@'112.118.137.108' (using password: YES)" - used my domain name which is hosted at the website host. What else can I do, and what am I doing badly? Before I git this far in the installation the first page noted that it seems there's no open SSL support. Help please!
