adding a new field to the products table

Hi,

 

I want to add a new field to the products table, which I can use to link it to a MS access Database we use for our stock control. I have added the field in, called Products_IQID. However, I am having problems with the add product page. it returns a tep error saying that the field is null. I need to know how to add an extra field into the add product page, so I can enter the IQID. Also wil adding the field have any other implication on any other page on the site?

Can anyone help me with this? All I am after doing is adding a new field into the products table. When I do so, I get errors with the add product page. Are there any other pages that will cause a TEP error if I add a field to the products table, and if so, how do I resolve the error?

have a look at the contributio list, there is one in there called Product Extra fields or something like that, that will help you add the extra field and sort out any pages that need that info
