rustybolt Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 How can i choose the order of the product options that i have created? When i use the the drop down box the options are not in the order that ive entered them. Does it default to sort them alphabetically or something, i need to have these so that i can control them. Also the 1st option ive created ive named 'Choose here...' so that people can see where the box is, I need a way so that if this is the option that is chosen an error message pops up saying you haven't chosen your model, ie: the ones below this option. Ive tried using this and basically if you miss the option box the order comes through to me with the option 'choose me...' which is no help. anyone help?
Jack_mcs Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 To sort the attributes, you have to install a contribution, like Attributes Copier. I've never tried what you are doing with the Choose Here entry. Normally, the arritbutes are used to add to the base price of the product. if you need to bring more attention to the dropdown list of attributes, just place some code by it to display a message. The attributes already come with a name for the dropdown and you can change that to what you wish.
