baalwww Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Even though I have a store name in the english.php file, my home page title shows up in the code as: <title> - osCommerce : </title> Where is the title generated?
rabbitseffort Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 the main store title is generated in includes/languages/english.php also, make sure in your admin under configuration you have the store title there correct as well. there is some simple code you can add to product_info.php to make unique titles and meta tags for each product also "I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings." ---Margaret Mead--- "The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer. --Ken Kesey"
baalwww Posted February 25, 2006 Author Posted February 25, 2006 Well, it's very curious. I see in english.php that botht he title and the copyright in the footing are STORE_NAME. Yet, on my home page, the title lacks the store name, but the footing has it.
rabbitseffort Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 it will help if you post your english file here if you still need help with that, are you saying that the store name is not showing the title when you view source code? maybe a link to you page also will be good "I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings." ---Margaret Mead--- "The answer is never the answer. baalwww Posted February 25, 2006 Author Posted February 25, 2006 Well, another blunder against my score :-) I was gathering the info to post, and when I went to copy the code from the source of my home page, I noticed the line after Title was a meta line, which reminded me I'm using the header tags contribution, which led me to check, and yup, there it was.
