grayind
Hi there. I'm a new webmaster for a small company in Cleveland, Ohio. They sell cutting tools. On some of their tools, they sell custom sized saw blades. Ranging from 68 inches to well over 200 inches. For this program, is it possible to have the customer specify a size on blade they need and the price will update with it? We have a formula: ( length (by half foot)* price per foot + weld charge ) * 0.57 Would this shopping cart be able to do that?

grayind
Ok thanks. Does anyone know of a website that does this right now using OScommerce?
Guest
well, there are a number of ways you could set it up, but the one involving least code changes would be to use the product attributes and set the price manually - this is a bit arduous on the setup of things, but causes least possibility for conflicts or errors later down the road. Go to the live shops section and have a look around, you are virtually guaranteed to find sites using the attributes dropdowns pretty quickly. grayind
Ok, i just tried to do it and it looks like it wont work. The one box has over 50 entries in it. im going to have to try to figure out how the customer can input the length. I talk to the owner and he told my the round up cost to the next foot. So if the customer would want a 10 foot blade and 7 inches, the price would round up to the 11 foot blade proce. Any one know how to start this? I looked on other stores website, but wouldn't find a user input box. https://host460.ipowerweb.com/~spectrum/onl...fe5291c1af16593
