Just need a design suggestion

Hi everybody!

 

There are still a few major things I need to do yet:

 

SSL

Multi-Vendor shipping contribution

Shipping/Returns page

making sure I'm hooked up to PayPal right

 

I had the whole store color as blue, the background being the lighter shade of blue. If you look at:

Main Page, you'll see what I mean.

 

However, I changed the background to white:

Store Main Page

 

I was thinking of doing the Shadowbox effect contribution for the left column boxes and the New Products box. Is this a good idea?

 

Also, would it look alright to make the footer background that light blue color and only leave the middle section white?

 

Lastly, I was trying to figure out how/where I got the blue in next to my site logo so I can remove it and have it white also. Any ideas?

 

I'm trying to leave my site simple in appearance...let the products and the other pages of the site (content) speak for itself. Yes, I still have loads of work to do on the main part of the site *grins*

 

If the white looks good for the store, I'll change it on the main portion of the site also. So it all looks uniform.

Yes I think the footer being the same color as the header would make it look better.

is that what you have there now? it's kind of cool, it's kind of distracting.

i think you should take your main table width down to 90%, color your background blue and you'll have a nice blue border all around.

yeah, that will be in /includes/header.php

go for it, launch your store, you can always make changes down the line. another thing, your header is very tall and you have all this horizontal space. break your logo out then run your taglines to the right of it?
