Multiple install issues

IMSHosting

Recommended Posts

I have two installs on the same server and when you go to one of them, it will pull from it's own database the first time, but if you refresh the page or go to another page, it loads the menu and items from the other osCommerce installation.

The have two completely separate databases. Configuration files seem to be set up correctly for each (cookie variables set to its own domain, correct DB info for both, etc). But something just isn't right.

I don't want to put the domains here, but I can PM them to people that are willing to take a look from the outside.

Any other information you need, I'll be happy to post. I'm not sure what info you need.

Thanks!

Michael

where are your sessions being stored? If both are using the same folder and you are looking at both from the same machine, you could be getting the two mixed up. The sessions issue is quite a common one with shared hosting packages - do a quick search and you'll find just how common it is!

To solve it, change the sessions storage folder settings, or change sessions to db

Well, I've looked around on session issues, and the one thing I found yesterday said changing the HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN to the domain would work. But both are set to their own domain. Also the STORE_SESSIONS is set to 'mysql' on both (it was originally '' on one and 'mysql' on the other.

I'll look around to see if there's anythng else about the sessions that I need to re-configure.

Thanks!

Michael
