Was fiddling with the counter.php file and managed to add several items including a visitor counter, date and time box...code is as follows:

<img src="/cgi-sys/Count.cgi?df=wwwjose.dat|display=Counter|ft=6|md=5|frgb=100;139;216|dd=A">

<img src="/cgi-sys/Count.cgi?df=wwwjose.dat|display=Clock|timezone=GMT+1100|tformat=12|ft=6|md=5|frgb=100;139

;216|dd=A">

<img src="/cgi-sys/Count.cgi?df=wwwjose.dat|display=Date|dformat=DDMMYY|ft=6|md=5|frgb=100;139;216|dd=A">

the question I have is how do I shift them so that they are spread out?

As in site counter stays where it is, time to the centre and date to the right hand side?

Josephine,

I just looked at your site and can I offer an opinion here?

First off, I don't think those counters fit in with the overall design of your site. They look a bit crass to be honest. And it has to be asked, do you really need them?

The time on the clock is at aussie time, I think, so is only relevant for people in that time zone. I don't know much about cgi scripts or how they work, but I assume it is set from that, otherwise it would display my PC time. Infact it only updates on refresh.

The other two, hit counter and date, you have on the bar at the bottom anyway.

Also and I know you are probably aware, but just incase. You have one image on the landing page at 113kb and another, that isn't showing but loaded, weighing in at 1323kb. It took an age for the page to load.

I like the look of your site but I don't think those counters fit in.

Thanks for the help..fixed the pictures so it all should load easily now. Had the wife adding pics B)

Removed the time and date counter. had to leave in the counter though as she likes to see how many people actually visit.

Thank for all the help..Now just need a coder to help me install a links page (which Ive tried heaps of times ) and to put a new box on the right hand side with links to our forum and guest book.

You can most likely find out how many visitors and more info about them from your hosting control panel. Most have a stats program or two that lets you see all kinds of info without adding it to the front of your site.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here
