Trouble With Store Sending e-mail

I have just set up a store using oscommerce. I got everything funtioning pretty well ok except.

When the store sends e-mail they don't actually arrive anywhere. I have sent numerous e-mails from within admin to my personall e-mail and some of my friends. I made a newsletter that never arrived anywhere as well.

When I send -emails from admin I get the mesage saying e-mail successfully sent. I have tried both smpt and send mail.

Server type is HTTP Server: Apache/2.0.52 (Linux)

PHP Version: 4.3.10 (Zend: 1.3.0)

I have send e-mail enabled

E-Mail Transport Method sendmail

E-Mail Linefeeds LF

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails false

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS false

Send E-Mails true

got be something simple I've missed!! Dunno

Is 'sendmail' installed on your server?

Does SMTP require User Name and Password for authentication? If so there is a contribution for this problem.

Vger

Problem is sorted, contacted my server, they sorted out a problem at their end.

I am also having this problem.

I am running a windows 2003 sever IIS 6. In other "illegal (Zencart)" software you can specify an SMTP server to send through. This is in my opinion a good feature. Does OS COMM have the ability to do this?
