Stock level problems

Hi all.

 

I have a client that has some 15 categories, 2 or 3 sub categories in each with a total of some 600 products.

 

Every now and then she tells me she thinks the stock level is not changing as it should be when an item is sold, I go in and test it but it works as it should do (I make a purchase, check the level, delete the purchase and restock and the level is correct.

 

However, it seems that some products that started with a stock level of 5 when added, some have been sold over the past month, but they all still show a level of 5.

 

Something is wrong, I do not know where to start loking as its not with all items only a few, though I have no way of knoiwing just how many or which ones, other than to buy one of each item.

 

Can anyone advise on any likely causes to such an issue taking place.
