option_type_feature_v1.71 - plz help ?

I've been working on a osCommerce web site and been making progress.

 

I'm wondering if anyone might provide any suggestions regarding an issue with osCommerce / this contribution:

 

1. I've installed a "text option" feature for custom names to be used on certain items. (Option Type Feature v1.71)

 

a. I've started to test this feature on a Hat, specifically a Garrison Hat

b. I've been able to get the text box to show, however, i'm unable to type into the box.

 

2. Does anyone have any suggestions, or recommendations that i might use to resolve this issue. Do i need to provide you additional information regarding the problem? My thought is a db problem?
