OK, I know the answer is probably really simple, but I'm brand new to osCommerce.

On the index page, I would like to show featured products rather than new products. Any suggestions?

You can force products into the New Products box (which you can rename to Featured Products should you wish) by altering products_date_added in table products in the database to a date in the current month. However when the month changes there will be no new products again so you'll have to do it all over again. Unfortunately if you change the date to a future month it won't show up in new products either, although it will when that future month is current.

Jim,

Thank you so much, it worked perfectly. As for having to reload it each month, its probably not a good idea to keep the same "featured items" for too long anyway....

why not try the "Featured Products" contribution Here

You'll find theres nearly always a cntribution for whatever you want to achieve, just use the search function in the contributions area
