Installing language pack - will it break the shop?

I have spent a lot of time customising an OSc shop in English and it is working well.

 

I now need to install the French language pack. My questios - will all the contributions I have installed still work and do I run the risk of breaking my shop?

 

I would be very grateful to have any tips and tricks or suggestions that anyone can give me.

It's unlikely to break (produce a fatal error), but you will probably have some problems, depending on your contributions. Not all programmers follow best practices and enter all text into a language file. I really just depends on the contributions.

 

Install the French pack on a test site/machine and start working from there.
