Allan-JJJ Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Hello I use Dreamweaver 8 for editing osCommerce php-files and test it with a local xampp installation. When using Dreamweavers splitscreen-view (code & design/preview), the 'live-data' preview is faulty. The CSS-formatting details like background-images are not shown. Does anyone know how to configure Dreamweaver to show the correct design? My configuration in detail: Win2k sp4 ie 5.5 sp2 PHP 5.1.2 (xampp) Dreamweaver 8 Dreamweaver project: (I guess the english labels) local root folder: D:\Internet\xampp\htdocs\osceasm\catalog\ hyperlinks relative to: document no remote server testserver: technology: php/mysql access: local/network test-server folder: D:\Internet\xampp\htdocs\osceasm\catalog\ url-prefix: http://localhost/osceasm/catalog/ Cloaking on (don?t understand this option) In the filebrowser 'Testserver' is selected and view -> live data (ctrl + shift + R) A new bar is shown above the code-view and the design/preview shows the rendered site similar to a external webbrowser showing the site. Unfortunately much css-layout is not shown and I can?t fully benefit from the integrated preview. Has anyone tried this with ie 6.0? Greetings al
Wendy James Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I use dreamweaver and as far as I know it does not show the pages correctly/fully and I do not know of any way to get it to. I just run easyphp (same as xampp) while working on the pages and look at the sites that way as I make changes. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
