pynchon Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Hi, I'm new to all this so it may be something obvious that I'm missing here. When I first installed the catalog, order confirmation to customer and to shop owner worked perfectly. Since modifying the look of the shop the order confirmations have stopped working ... I didn't change code in any way beyond stylesheet options and a few table sizes here and there. However, I can still send the customer emails from the admin module. Any help would be appreciated. many thanks jk

♥Vger Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 When I first installed the catalog, order confirmation to customer and to shop owner worked perfectly. This may have been pure luck. If you are using the default Pay Pal module for payments then you rely on the customer hitting the Continue button on the Pay Pal website to return them to your site's checkout_process.php page. If they don't hit that button they don't return, the order doesn't get updated, the items stay in their Shopping Cart and no e-mails get fired off. Go to your Pay Pal account Profile and sign up for their Auto-Return service. Vger
Guest Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I should've mentioned that I have only been using 2checkout and am having the same problem.

Vger Thing is, I'm using the default payment settings and it doesn't work even if I just use "Cash on Delivery" or "Cheque/MoneyOrder" as payment options. The Paypal module hasn't been added/installed. Account setup emails work ... mail from withing the admin console work ... just not the email that would confirm order and notify store owner. I'm perplexed. Thanks for your response though.
Guest Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I'm having exactly the same problem. Suddenly, the order confirmation e-mails are not being sent. Any other e-mail (registration, or sent from the admin) works fine. But order confirmation stopped working and I cant find when or why... edit: no, i'm not using any paypal contribution
