Thnx, ill see if it works. About the "magic of the search" thing, i actually didnt know what to search for. And that made it kind of hard .. ;)

I have followed the changes required in the above link, but i am still having this problem.

 

what else could be wrong?

im using winxp, iis 5.1, latest php, latest mysql server

I am having the same problem with Windows 2003, Latest Apache, PHP, MySQL.

 

I am having the same problem also with FreeBSD, Latest APM ...

Since I've found the solution, I'll replay to myself. :-)

 

You need to install php with mysql support (php extensions). You can see if mysql extension was compiled with php with:

 

<?php echo phpinfo(); ?>

 

in info.php for example.
