Product options - how to set and display

Sorry if this has been asked previously, but I ran several searches and I wasn't able to retrieve anything useful with any of them :(

 

I need to be able to add two optional values to two lines of goods we want to sell. Option 1 would be colour 1 and option 2 colour 2. These two values are independent of each other.

 

I know you can go to the options panel in myurl/admin and then go to the products. I am assuming I add colour 1 to the left menu and the list of colours to assign to colour 1 on the right menu and then repeat for colour 2. This would then allow me the following :

 

Colour 1 : Red

Colour 1 : Green

Colour 1: Purple

Colour 2 : Red

Colour 2 : Brown

Colour 2 : Orange

 

The question is how would I add these to my product pages please? Ideally these options would be available as drop down lists on the product info page, so if someone selects Red and Orange for example this information is included as part of the order. These values do not impact the cost of the products.

doesn't osc has this integrated? Your attributes are color1 and color2 and the actual colors are the options. Once you assign the attributes to the particular product it should list them in the products info page. And there are countless contributions for products attributes if you need to enhance them.
