daz_75 Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Hi, When i click on a category on my website i used to get a little picture for the category and also any subcategories listed in the main window. This now only appears for 2 of my categories, all the others have lost this information I have also noticed that the text from the initially home page (was the default OS commerce text as i hadn't changed it) as also vanished. Here is a picture of one of the ones that still works and here is a picture of one of the ones with nothing The only thing i can think may have caused this is a friend upgraded the OScommerce software just recently Any ideas much appreciated. thanks Daz
Webwarrior Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Anyone :-( easy solution. your store looks like the default oscomm store, make sure you BACK UP and write over the top of your old files with the release of oscom you are trying to use. don't forget to put your config files bak properly though!! if that doesn't help, check nothing has changed in your admin panel. if that doesn't help, strangle your friend. It won't help, but it will make you feel better!

One thing i've also noticed is that the Main category has to have no items in it to be able to show the subcategories on the website, which seems a bit strange to me

Also sounds obvious, but have you checked that all your cateories are where you expect them to be in the control panel? It can be easy to put some items or categories in the wrong place.........
