Shipping weight not found error

I have the store set up (the install was done by my domain host) and I have gone through the configuration steps, catalog loading, and am ready to test orders through the PayPal Sandbox. My sandbox account is set up and I registered one of my sandbox test accounts in the store.

 

I selected several items and went through the checkout process. However, with UPS set up it cannot find the shipping weights. And with the USPS method I get error messages as well.

 

I am not a highly experienced PHP programmer and get a bit lost trying to trouble-shoot things like this on my own. Here are the errors I received:

 

United Parcel Service

An error occured with the UPS shipping calculations.

Packages must weigh more than zero pounds.

If you prefer to use UPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner.

 

 

United States Postal Service

An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations.

If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner.

 

Please help, as I need to have this ready March 1st. :(
