Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Is there a way to use Links Manager without having to use the Links Categories? When you get to the links page- I dont want to have to pick a category and go to another page- I want all my links to be on that page. Can I remove the column headings on the Links page? The headings are - Title+, Description and URL. Can I make the Description field Not Required? I just want to list the picture, title and URL. Also- what does Reciprocal Page Details mean? What goes there? Thank You.
Jack_mcs Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 How to bypass the categories was recently covered in the Links Manager support thread (I think). You could use the optional vertical listing. See the options in admin. The main purpose of Links Manager is to exchange links. The Reciprocal Page is the page on the site you are exchanging links with that displays your link. Hopefully you're only going to have a few links because if you plan on having a lot one long page with a ton of links on it is definitely not the way to go. It slows down page load time and it just look amateurish. But if you'd rather have it all on one page you should use this conribution http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ll/search,links instead of the links manager one...
