remove left bar

How do you remove the left bar and move the middle bit towards the left.

Do you mean the left hand column? You have to move the contents elsewhere (includes/header.php, footer.php or column_right.php), then when column_left.php is empty you will have to edit the files in your catalog directory and remove the call to column_left.php

 

thats the simplest way, although there are other methods available.
