Background in header

This may sound like a nivice question but i have tryed, and it just aint working for me.

 

I am wanting to add a background to the header, where the arrow is pointing.

 

 

I have tryed changing

try with a css class instead of trying to set the relative path for an image.

 

TD.someclass {
 background-image: url('images/hdr_bk.jpg');
}

 

and assign the class to the table cell

i tried it but it doesn't fit. the header height is only as high as the highest a href picutre.

what height are you talking about? The code is for the image itself. Heights in table cells are set by the image unless you explicitly specify some parameters.

thanks for your help guys. now i really feel stupid...
