Guest Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Hello m8's, I finally got the layout of my store finished with lots of products loaded. Before I go any further, I need some help getting started with SEO Techniques! I've search through Contributions section and found lots information, actully to much information. I'm overwhelmed and stuck at the moment lol. I've read many many articals today on submitting url's to google and yahoo. Here's where I'm confused, my product pages are in php, but for best ranking results they should be in html format What's the best way to load my product pages into multiple search engines! And where should I start first?? All suggestions welcomed. Jack_mcs Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Here's where I'm confused, my product pages are in php, but for best ranking results they should be in html formatNot true. Sites with php pages can rank just as well as those with html pages. The pages just have to be optimized properly. Start by installing a meta tag contribution like Header Tags. Then install Ultimate SEO if you want the pages converted. There are several other contributions that will help: All products with Images, Dynamic Sitemap, Links Manager (if you plan on have link exchanges), google sitemap, update your spiders and robots files, move the site to the root and the froogle auto feeder (indirectly helps by having a froogle account). That's all I can think of at the moment and there are still many changes that need to be made to it after the above, but this will give you a good running start.
