Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

You can make any changes you want just make sure that you leave any quotes etc intact and just change the text. As always backup any files you are going to change before making the changes so when you do screw up the file( and at some point you will) you can upload the backup and try again.
