I am in canada and can't figure out how to set the tax's up on the admin side.. books are only charged one tax and so is shipping but at the final shipping books are charged gst and pst and the shipping rate is showing no tax.. I do have someone doing my site for me.. who is really busy and I wanted to help out by doing as much as I can.. so if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.. thanks Margaret.. Ontario Canada... :huh: First you need to set up two Tax Zones one for Ontario one for Canada. Next set up two tax rates one for PST for Ontario and one for GST for canada. Then yer done. No need for a contribution. I also set up a tax rate for GSTshipping and applied to the Canada zone since no PST is charged on shipping. Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Ontario Canada... :huh: You can also set up as may tax classes as you like and have what ever taxes and zones associated with them. I think for sale of books you charge pst and gst on the book but only gst on the shipping. At least that's what my account says. PST is only for sales of things shipping is a service.
