rhythin Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 I had this error after a "successful" installation, no error was ever reported until finishing the step 7. Searching on the forum, many people met similar problem, but nobody gave a solution. In my case however, the problem was in the database population (third step). 46 tables should be created in the db with some initial values, but somehow only 26 were created, including the "language" table. However, no initial values were inserted in the table, which caused the problem of no default language was found. Check your db with phpMyAdmin or something similar, if you don't have 46 fully populated you may want to manually run the oscommerce.sql under install directory. Good luck!
